Huawei’s Honor brand showcased its Magic smartphone at MWC 2017 in Barcelona, Spain. Initially, it was introduced in China last year with fingerprint sensor built into the home button and has curved glass finish on the back as well. We went hands-on with the phone, check it out along with the hardware walk through in the photo gallery.

The Honor Magic smartphone sports a 5.09-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD AMOLED 3D curved glass display. It has a feature called DeepThink, that lets you Press and hold the home button so it will offer multi-facets information based on the current webpage you visit.

Moving on to the back, the Honor Magic has 12MP dual rear cameras with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, 6P lens, 1.4um pixel size. The dual rear camera promises brilliant image quality in low-light conditions, similar to the Honor 8. It runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with Honor Magic Live OS.

On the front top, it has a 8MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture on board. It has FaceCode Intelligent Recognition so new message notification will only reveal itself for pre-registered faces to ensure users’ privacy.

The home button lets you navigate around, such as unlock the phone, return to previous page, browse history and return to the home screen, simply by touching, double tapping or swiping on the same key.

On to the right side, the Honor Magic has a volume rocker button and a power/lock button.

Talking about the left side, the smartphone houses nothing except the antenna band on both sides.

Moving on to the bottom, it has a usual 3.5mm audio jack, SIM slot, standard USB port for charging and a speaker grill placed right next to each other.

It packs a 2900mAh built-in battery with support for Magic Charge fast charging technology that can charge up to 70% with just 20 minutes of charge and 90% in just 30 minutes.

It also has WiseScreen Sensor Magic intelligent sensor so that when you pick up the phone, the sensor on phone frame and the front infrared camera recognize your hand and your eyes, putting the phone into action by activating the screen. When you put down your phone, or place it in your pocket, the screen goes off in one second.

The Honor Magic comes in Golden black and Porcelain white colors and is priced at 3699 yuan (US$ 532 / Rs. 36100).
