Huawei’s Honor brand has announced its latest flagship smartphone dubbed as V9. It packs a 5.7-inch Quad HD display, is powered by an Octa-Core Kirin 960 SoC and runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat) with EMUI 5 on top. It has dual 12-megapixel rear cameras with laser auto focus  It packs a 4000mAh battery with support for fast charging.

Microsoft has announced the launch of Skype Lite mobile app which is  aimed at low-end Android devices. The company CEO Satya Nadella introduced the app at Future Decoded event in Mumbai. The app weighs just 13MB and works on phones with slower data connections.

LG today launched K10 (2017) smartphone in India at an event with India-specific SOS 112 emergency calling. Initially, it was unveiled ahead of CES 2017 last month.

Intel has announced its fifth-generation LTE modem XMM 7560. It is the company’s first one to offer gigabit speeds and also its first LTE modem to be manufactured on its 14nm process.

On the other side, Qualcomm announced its seventh-generation LTE multimode modem and second-generation Gigabit LTE solution built on 10nm FinFET process. Dubbed as Snapdragon X20 LTE, it offers download speeds of up to 1.2 Gbps, which is a 20% improvement compared to Snapdragon X16 LTE.
