HTC U Ultra Brilliant Black

This week HTC announced HTC U Ultra, U Play smartphones, Nintendo Switch price was revealed, Lenovo launched P2 smartphone in India, Bose launched SoundTouch 300 soundbar and more. Check out all the announcements and launches from this week in our roundup.

HTC announced U Ultra smartphone that sports 5.7-inch Quad HD display, 2-inch 520 PPI secondary touch-screen display above the main display. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 821 processor, comes with 4GB RAM, 64/128GB internal storage and runs Android 7.0. It has a 12MP rear camera and 16MP front camera. It comes in Sapphire Blue, Comestic Pink, Brilliant Black and Ice White colors and will be available for pre-order from htc.com for $750.

HTC U Play

HTC also announced U Play that sports 5.2-inch 1080p display and is powered by MediaTek Helio P10 processor. The phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is available in 3GB RAM with 32GB storage, 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage options. It has 16MP rear and 16MP front camera and sports a fingerprint sensor.

Huawei announced P8 Lite 2017 that features a 5.2-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass screen, is powered by an Octa-Core Kirin 655 16nm processor and runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat) with EMUI 5.0. It has a 12-megapixel camera with LED flash and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

Wileyfox, UK based smartphone brand has announced Swift 2X smartphone thatsports a 5.2-inch 1080p display and is powered by Octa-Core Snapdragon 430 SoC. It comes with 3GB RAM, fingerprint sensor, 16MP rear and 8MP front camera.

Nintendo Switch

Nintendo Switch game console will launch on March 3 for $299.99. Announced in October last year, Switch comes with two detachable, one-handed controllers that and a Switch Dock for connecting it to TV. It is powered by custom Tegra processor.

Gionee has announced Steel 2 smartphone with 5-inch display, a quad-core MediaTek MT6737. The phone runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with Amigo 3.5 UI and It packs a huge 4000mAh battery  3GB RAM, fingerprint sensor, 4G VoLTE.

LeEco has introduced Liveman C1, its first action camera that has a 1.8-inch touchscreen display, is capable of recording 4K video and is also dust, water and shockproof. It comes with a 16 mega-pixel sensor with 140 degree wide-angle lens, and G-sensor for automatic video recording when movement is sensed

Bose has launched SoundTouch 300 soundbar in India for Rs. 69999. supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC for easy pairing.  You can get it from Amazon.in.

Swipe has launched Konnect Grand smartphone which comes with 5-inch FWVGA display, is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). It has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It has dual SIM support and 3G connectivity.

Lenovo launched P2 smartphone in India that sports a 5.5-inch 1080p AMOLED screen, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 processor and runs Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow). It has 13MP rear, 5MP front camera and a fingerprint sensor. The Lenovo P2 comes in Champagne gold and Graphite gray colors, is priced at Rs. 16,999 for the 3GB RAM variant and the 4GB RAM variant costs Rs. 17,999.

Asus launched R558UQ notebook that features a 15.6-inch display, Intel Core i7-7500U processor and comes wiih 8GB of RAM or Intel Core i5-7200U with  4GB of RAM. It comes in Matt Golden, Glossy Dark Brown, Red and Dark Blue colors, is priced at Rs. 59,990 and Rs 48,990 for the Core i7 and Core i5 variants, respectively. It is available from retail stores as well as online retailers such as Amazon.in and Flipkart.

Samsung launched Gear S3 classic and Gear S3 frontier launched in India for Rs. 28500. Both the watches sport a 1.3-inch (360×360 pixels) Circular Super AMOLED Always On display, 278ppi has a 1GHz Dual-Core processor, 768MB RAM, 4GB internal memory. They run on Tizen based wearable platform 2.3.2. Both the watches will go on sale in India from January 18th.

UIMI has launched U8 15600mAh power bank that comes with LED torch light. It comes in Golden and Black Colors and is priced at Rs. 2,299 (MRP), but UIMI says that it will be available for Rs. 999 (MOP). However you can’t find it on online retail sites like Amazon.inFlipkart and other online retail sites for less than Rs. 1,110.
