Telegram update adds ability to delete recently sent messages, network usage and more

Telegram has received an update that brings the ability for users to unsend recently sent messages. The update which bumps the app to version 3.16 will let you delete any messages you have shared within the last 48 hours. In addition, you will also be able to retract any messages within 48 hours of sending them.

Next up, the update also adds a network data usage section that shows exactly how much data has been consumed while in roaming or wi-fi. Moving on, Telegram now gets Gboard integration that will allow you to send GIFs directly.

The update adds number of tweaks and additions such as messages from one sender are now grouped together, file sharing, recently downloaded files are shown when sharing a file and more.

Telegram has been continuously updating its app with new features and improvements. It is high time WhatsApp buckles up and make the platform even better considering it is being used by over 1 billion users daily.
