Its obvious this will come down to a battle of the Androids.

Which one is better? Will prolly come down to the most popular (most sold) and not have anything to do with hardware (front facing cam on Evo) or performace (AWESOME GPU on Galaxy S).

I’ve always been one to favor power although I think mainstream America would favor the front facing cam for video chatting on the go.

Now, I’m just rambling… =p

iPhone 4 is clearly a better phone than any android. I have been an android and iPhone fan, but nothing compares with the quality of the iPhone. Who needs open source mobile phones, it’s not like your capable of putting in thing worth talking about or public announcing on the phone anyway. If I wanted to put droid on a g1, I’d go buy an droid. But I guess u get what u pay for. If people wasn’t so cheap to buy one phone and have all capabilities of every phone, then that’s u. But I’m a audio engineer and apple fits my job better than an everyday phone. Oh yeh haven’t had not one drop call since my first purchase of the iPhone in 2007. I guess it depends on your area, if u leave in the woods it might be a little hard to have great reception. If you live in a downtown area with alot of buildings it might be hard to have great reception ect…. Houston has great Att reception maybe all haters should move hoston to enjoy the iPhone or complain enough to get better reception in your area. Don’t blame the phone, because u can’t afford quality and settle for quanity. Some people are never happy.

iPhone 4 is a “quality device”? It wasn’t even BUILT correctly. Having to hold the phone with your right hand sounds like poor planning to me.

And people are cheap cuz they don’t want to waste their money on overpriced crappy carrier coverage and move their entire family to Houston? LOL Ask anyone (including iPhone fanboys) and they will all tell you that the ONE thing holding the iPhone back is the fact that its locked down to AT&T.

And with an upgrade the iPhone is the same price as an Evo or any of the Samsung phones so I’m not sure what kinda kick your on… Sounds to me you like the status of owning an iPhone in which case you can’t be reasoned with.

Hey, the iPhone4 is a great piece of hardware. It’s just not for everyone, and it’s certainly not for me.

The EVO 4G, even with it’s flaws, gets my vote. It’s not perfect, but I think it’s probably the best smartphone out there. I loved that 4.3 inch screen and the way it felt in my hand. I miss it like one would miss an ex lover.

Also, hardware wise, it trumps the iPhone4 in just about every category. Bigger screen, better cameras, etc…

Open source is great – if there is something wrong, people can fix it. When there are things wrong with iPhones, Jobs merely has to brainwash everyone into thinking that there isn’t a problem until the next gen iPhone is released and you’re charged $$$ for basic features (copy + paste, custom wallpapers, mms). You guys still don’t have real multitasking.

This bracket is set up poorly. The top phones should be set up to face each other in the finals. The lower left bracket, none of those phones are worthy to be in the final four.

The evo is an amazing device. The incredible just felt cheap and flimsy. I am kinda surprised that the pre beat the incredible but the pre is very innovative. even though the iphone4 came out a little after the evo, the evo is far superior and is a good phone to make calls on.

You are misinformed. AT&T is only ousted as the WORST carrier by T-mobile, their bed-buddy. Who cares if the forth-coming HSPA+ network is faster, WiMax is fast enough. Coverage? I get free roaming with Sprint. I can get on any network any time without incurring charges. Beat that! iPhone is not as good of a phone – sure the screen is beautiful, but its tiny. And like the speed of the network (and 3G vs 3G, Sprint is faster – a friend and I tested speed iPhone vs Evo side by side), good enough is good enough. I don’t need a diamond studded phone that does 2 things. I need a good looking phone that does everything I want it to. Evo, or phones with similar to better specs WIN.

WTF… Evo 4g is in lead by thousands of votes.. Dats so sick…. Evo 4g has no use in many countries like India , etc., where there is no 4g network and 4.3 inch display is too big for a phone it’ll uncomfortable to hold ,uncomfortable in pocket ,etc nd it’ll disturb the hole while in pocket . Where as iPhone is truly advanced nd user friendly , it has gr8 display , gr8 camera(don’t go in megapixels) it’s so clear , world class apps (gaming , lifestyle, etc.,). If u think I m sayin nythin wrong den just see the numbers dat iPhone managed to sell in weekend. Evo can’t touch dat no. In a month. Android phones have everything you mentioned with the iPhone and more, and have had it for a lot longer. You people just jump on the bandwagon of Apple and gobble up every single device they put out as they gobble up the money you throw at them.

Maybe Apple did sell more iPhones than the EVO, but did you see how many were owners of previous generation iPhones? Around 80%! That is bringing in hardly any new people to the iPhone. Now look at how many people bought the EVO, then look at how many people dropped their iPhone 4 on eBay or returned it, then bought an Android phone.

Apple is done, it was only a matter of time before people realized that they are behind in the smartphone market and Android offers (and has for some time) everyone the features iPhone 4 put out like it hasn’t been done before.

The reason why the HTC Evo is beating the iPhone 4 is because android fans are crazy on these sites because they have to try and get it out there that the android device is good and catching up to the iPhone. I had the HTC Evo and now have the iPhone 4. They are both great phones. I thought the HTC Evo was a little too big and I don’t live in a 4G area so paying the extra 10 bucks was stupid for me. So I switched to the iPhone 4. I love it and I don’t have the antenna issue because I am in a great area for AT&T. No complaints for me on the iPhone4, but I know there is an antenna issue. I put cases on my phones all the time and have the bumper on my iPhone 4. I don’t think you can say one is clearly better than the other because all of you android owners have not seen the screen on the iPhone 4. It is truely amazing when you are watching videos and looking at pictures.

Do you think that because IPhone sell more than Evo, the Iphone is better? ur wrong, IPhone only win because have good advertising campaign and people who bought that, did it for fashion, IPhone is something like catchfools whereas the people who bought Evo, do it for specifications, because are people who know about technology and got no problems downloading songs and applications that can make it better, whatever I prefer technology to size.

If you are going to compare sales, apple has one device for all these apple fans to flock too. Android has tons more styles to choose from. Now anyone care to tell these apple fans how many androids are sold every year compared to apple. I have looked at and held a droid incredible. Two completely different device s. The incredible feels cheap and has a small screen. Other than that pretty similar. Except price plans, verizon is very expensive.

You do realize that the Evo has the same Snapdragon processor as the Incredible, has the same camera as the Incredible(except 720p recording was enabled out of the box). The Evo also has an HDMI output to output the 720p recordings to HDTVs. There’s the 4.3″ TFT screen that makes web browsing a pleasure(oh, and it can be seen outside unlike the Incredible’s AMOLED screen). Wifi Hotspot that supports up to 8 devices wirelessly compared to the 5 devices supported by the Incredible.
With regards to the waste of money, you still get to use Sprint’s expansive 3G network that is bigger than AT&T’s. Not only that but Sprint and Verizon roam on each other’s networks so that negates your small network argument.
Finally, you’d pay more for a comparable plan on the Incredible with Verizon than you would for the Evo’s service plan and you would not have the benefit of 4G.

I have and use an HTC Evo 4g every day. My mom and dad both have one as well. The are amazing phones, and by no means too big to fit in any regular sized pocket and be comfortable in that pocket in any position.

the dimensions of the two phones:
Iphone 4: 4.5×2.31×0.37
htc Evo: 4.8×2.6×0.5

that’s a total of .3 inches both directions…barely even noticeable, the evo just makes much better use of the size that it has and uses more of it for the screen.

Though it doesn’t disturb u d whole day but my frnd told it’s battery life too short, it doesn’t manage to work d whole day if used normally nd it’s gamin is not as gud as apple has like GTA , NFS , etc., but as a business fone it’s gr8… Nd it is vry flexible wid no restrictions on downloading which is gud (but it can lead to attack of viruses on fone). So ol in ol it’s totally a personal choice so no need to fight nd waste ur time nothin gonna happen wd ur fight ohkk… So u al stop fighting nd do something else ok…:-|

seen both and i own the evo. the evo screen is big and amazing all the time oh not to mention the flash player situation lovin that, iphone4 yes its a good phone but it has steps to go to be AS good as the evo i live in a 4g area an that iphone just doesnt compare honestly. besides at&t the plans suck
