Apple is not giving up on desktops and is planning to launch the new ones in the future. Tim Cook, Apple CEO has clarified in an internal memo to employees that Apple won’t stop making Macs or desktop computers.

The iMac was last refreshed in October 2015 while the Mac Mini and Mac Pro has not seen a successor since 2013. These devices have not been  upgrade in more than three years and it is a welcome news that Apple is looking forward to launching them sometime in the future.

Tim Cook said in an internal memo,

The current generation iMac is the best desktop we have ever made, and its beautiful Retina 5K display is the best desktop display in the world. Some folks in the media have raised the question about whether we’re committed to desktops. If there’s any doubt about that with our teams, let me be very clear: we have great desktops in our roadmap. Nobody should worry about that.

At the moment, there are no details about Apple’s plans regarding desktop.
