Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd, has announced the launch of Corby S3653 its first mobile handset designed to support the highly connected lifestyle of today’s younger mobile users. The Samsung Corby, is a full-touchscreen handset that places users at the centre of the social media revolution with full support for a wide range of social networking sites. The new mobile compliments the Company’s existing touch screen strategy “touch for every lifestyle” by broadening the market and targeting the youth audience. The Corby represents a complete makeover for the youth segment, with its eye-catching design, which marks a significant break from the way full touch phones are usually designed. The Samsung Corby is notable for both its body design and colors,It comes with bold color options such as Jamaican Yellow, Cupid Pink, Minimal White, and Festival Orange so that users can choose their favorite color. The best social networking services are combined with enhanced multimedia capabilities in a compact form. Mr.Park – Director Telecom, Samsung India Electronics Pvt. Its sensuous design aims to stand out from the crowd thanks to the handset’s pop-style contours and curved body design. The handset comes with a selection of coloured yellow, white, orange and pink covers. In the package of the Corby, it also offers an additional standard black cover. Samsung Corby is considered to be an advanced communicator as it is bundled with wealth of communication options available to Corby owners.
Users can update current status and access friends’ updates, live feeds on Facebook, MySpace and Twitter through simple Pop-up SNS which stands for Social Networking Service.Users can upload photo & video to these SNS and User Generated Content sites through Communities solution.
The Samsung Corby incorporates Samsung’s new Touchwiz UI and haptic feedback system making touch screen operations simple and easy to use. this phone looks great, but the prices of the phone is not clearly mentioned.
Its mentioned clearly above as Rs.9600
why model no changes in India? and also expensive because no 3g.In Vietnam IT IS VERY CHEAP.

well guys there r lot discussion abt CORBY in my view nokia 5230 is much better n fully loded at this price.samsung has flooded many handset in mkt.after some time no body will recall which samsung mobs when launch

This mobile is look like cute and attractive this mobile price is 8200.rs. It was the cheapest and best mobile in touch and smart phone. Its better then the mobile
samsung star having more feature than corby @ same price point.

it’s a very good looking phone bt no feature, it gets hangs up, phone battery back up is very bad, user interfec is bad, over all its not advice to buy… in chennai mobile owners are pushing it bt beware on buying it

in andhra pradesh:its 8000 as on 08th nov 2009.
in delhi its 7500..
these are the two prices which i know..
comin to features
no wifi
no 3g
only gprs
only cam of 2.0 megapixel
no flash
but the head phones of the phone rock, they once again mae yu remember the sony ericson headphones
guys only d above r back logs..
finally corby is really gud at features and also at price..
touch is gud..
its 8gb supportable
im using 4gb its workin fast no problem of gettin stucked..
yu can grab one of yur fav colour
white is soo gud..
1. The phone looks good and is much easier to grip in your hands than the other touch screen typical square ended phones (even some of the Samsung Phones like the Jet and Star).
2. The screen size is great and quite clear. The touch sense is quite receptive (literally). No stylus along and it becomes a bit difficult to navigate through the phone if you have sweaty fingers.
3. Sound quality is quite good (still can’t beat the Megabass of the Sony Ericsson). Headset’s a ear plug type with good sound quality (no distortion).
4. No 3g, but if you have access to the internet with a comp at home or office and just need to stay online in your mobile, then it’s good. It definitely can’t support high speed net connectivity.
5. Bluetooth is quite effective and fast for transferring as well as receiving data. No Wifi, expected at this price range(doesn’t matter to me).
If you are on the lookout for something different looking from the regular mobiles (Just like choosing an Apple I Mac instead of a HP Pavilion home computer), something like what the Sony Walkman series of phones did a few years back, then just go pick one up. You will not regret it.
However, just for a few hundred bucks or about a G more you can get the Jet which in addition to all these features also has an accelerometer. You know the options that open up along with it.
I am a sucker for looks and picked one up the moment I saw it – Jamaican Yellow. Quite a crowd puller and a charming phone!
Oops, forgot to talk about the camera. Nothing great about it and no autofocus either. You need a steady hand to make a good shot out of it.
There you go, all the pros and cons that I could think of have been mentioned in these two comments. I have been using the phone for the last 15 days and will post any more updates I have about it.
This samsung corby 3650 is very nice tauch mobile but one problam this set nat a 3G suported. But look is a very nice i request this set next time lunched 3G suported
