Soon after the release of the V20 firmware for the Nokia N86 8MP, Nokia are now readying the release of the V20.0.005 firmware update for the Nokia N97.

Here are the changes that have been noticed:

  • Nokia start-up screen has been enhanced with a “Connecting People” slogan below the Nokia logo.
  • The phone has lesser memory after start-up but it seems to utilise the memory very well and very little lags and crashes are present.
  • The dial-pad on the home-screen now has letters embedded too.
  • Kinetic Scrolling throughout the phone interface including applications.
  • Updated web browser.

Apart from the main points mentioned above, the firmware update should also bring in various other bug fixes and stability improvements. The firmware should be released soon and available through the Nokia Software Update program.
