Looks like Tata Docomo has decided to stop offering its Unlimited GPRS plan to Prepaid Customers. The Gprs Plans have been altered slightly and there is a cap on the downloads from now.

tatadocomo-how-do-u-do1

We are sad to see this move from the Operator as many users got a new connection just for this offer. But if you managed to get hold of an unlimited plan in the really short duration, you must be lucky.

Open question to Docomo – Why did you even release such a plan if it was going to be short term offer and Why was the information that is a limited duration pack not mentioned ?

Thanks for the Tip Shivranjan

Tata Docomo, Goes Down Down Down Down Down.
    Yeh to Hona hi Tha.

    Ma ka Docomo!!

    reliance has competition.

  • I am angry because I got a sim and the GPRS plan is not available in Mumbai! No use of the sim for me now. Wish I could give it back.

Never expected such move from The INDIAS most trusted brand TATA who has fulfilled the dreams of common man by offering TATA NANO for Rs.100K only.
Such a move by the operator is extremely disappointing.
Shall we hope such a plan in Future Mr.TATA?

NEVER GO FOR TATADOCOMO and they are doing cheap tricks for marketing in public, they changed the plan now and i talked to customer care that they never had those unlimited gprs plans and no TATADOCOMO person revealed those plans any where for press. TATA si doing unethical practices in india from long time, it is better to avoid TATA in our life. TRAI is a useless body in india seems getting lot of bribes. TRAI put a rule that any plans introduced by telecom companies should be atleast for 6 months after launch. Whats is going on now? TRAI is sleeping? What the lawyers and Bigs doing in india, any one has guts to file the case on TATADOCOMO, come on indians , open your eyes and file and fire TATAs from INdia

this is very rude behaviour.but i think this is a common practice.at my city gorakhpur bsnl network @ rs.230/m dissappear after 11 pm, airtel mobile office @ rs 450/m 10 kb in 12 min, vodafone mobile connect @ rs 550/m speed slow after 10 pm. however users searching low cost unlimited gprs can go for aircel @ rs 98/m. but speed is very slow.

  • Anksp84 says:

If you want a better gprs connection go for reliance mobile gsm. If you living nearby any relience tower then the speed of gprs works good in day time. If you use in night time the speed increase in double. And if you use smart gprs during 3am to 9am then you download a 3 mb file in just 2 minutes. Try it.

  • Vijay says:

Such an unethical move from TATA, I never never thought of this and I have a new Tata Docomo SIM for Rs 150 which is of no use at all!

The only thing which attracted me to this CHEAP and IDIOT guys was unlimited GPRS for 95, and it was possible as Aircel is still having the same for 98. If these big companies are such a LIARS, what about the ones who are fighting for Spectrum and never got it.

TATA got CDMA and GPRS licenses and the spectrum allocated quickly as they were the biggest company and was believed to be promising. But it SUCKS a big time.

NEVER NEVER GO FOR THESE CHEAP and CRAP offers, they don’t save your money per second but they ROBB you per day!! DOCOMO is CHEAP, really CHEAP in everything except money. I have already thrown away the SIM CARD and not going to even spit on that.

I guess, the DOCOMO sales was atleast doubled in last 2 days due to their GPRS offer. Those who have bought the SIM for GPRS, please consider, you have just donated your money to beggars who spends more than your salary in one day :)

    Thank you for reading ;)

By “CDMA and GPRS”, I meant “CDMA and GSM”.

Their CC says, they never had such an offer. Just go to this page – http://www.tatadocomo.com/gprs-edge.aspx – and hover your pointer on “GPRS” with a phone symbol – read the text.

Rs.15 GPRS Pack: This is a pre paid recharge pack of Rs.15, allowing you unlimited internet access for next 3 days. Just select DOCOMO internet APN on your GPRS handset.

Rs.95 GPRS Pack: This is a pre paid pack of Rs.95 allowing unlimited internet access for up-to 30 days. Just select DOCOMO internet APN on your GPRS handset.
