HTC Magic will soon be available in India. We just heard from HTC and they are launching it in New Delhi today. For those wanting Android phones. The wait might be finally over. The phone might not be Google branded and might be locked to Airtel or Vodafone.

The first android based phone is expected to be priced at around Rs.20000-25000 ( we will update as further details are revealed ) . The handset market is india is set for some serious competition now.  The Android OS is still not mature but can give some serious competition for Nokia and Apple. T-Mobile the US Carrier for the G1 – the first edition of the Google phone has sold more than 1 million android phones.

While we wait for more details to surface . check out our HTC G1 Unboxing and Live pics

The HTC Magic sold in india is without ANY GOOGLE APPLICATION – meaning – you cannot install Gtalk,Google Maps or GMail Android Apps and there is no ANDROID Market on it.
