Nokia N86 8MP Hands on Pics from India Launch Event

We grabbed some pics of the Nokia N86 8MP at the launch event in India yesterday. The phone fits really well in the hand and the build quality is really good. There was no wobbling even though the phone has a 2 way slider mechanism. The keypad is really nice with large keys. The home screen had a new clock but could not figure out what exactly it was.The design is very similar to the N85 but its not glossy but a matte finish. Here is the monster 8 MP Camera with Carl Zeiss optics on the back.
It has a nice shutter and the keystand is also present around the camera. A nice metallic is present around the corners of the device and even in the menu key.

The power button is on the top , the 3.5 audio jack sits in the center , microUSB port is on the right and N86 supports USB charging too.
The Music keys on the left are nice to use and the uppermost and lowermost keys function as camera zoom in /out keys too.

Yes i played with the phone for just 30 mins . Din’t use the phone much . Felt good and I could not test the camera much. Want to test it in bright conditions and low light.

hi, tht blog was nice, but is it really available in delhi ? And, yeah today i just received an email confirmation about the availability of Sony Eric. W995, another 8mp camera with Walkman brand, and it was also written that it is available with selective retailers. So, whats the clear situation is Sony eric 8mp finally here or it has launched some where else. But it will be great from sony with price nearing nokia and hotting up 8mp bracket.

hi tarun presently m using nokia n79 now i m looking to change my mobile .. could u pls tell me wts d main difference b/w 86-8mp & n-79.. mind it camera doesn matter to me… if u have in knowledge any other cell like samsung or sony pls inform me .. as my main need is wifi & 3g..i will wait for ur blog.. really m so happy to use n79 its so good cell.. as in weight & quality

i have this phone and believe me its great its equal to the n 97 only without the touchscreen but the same interface and as much powerful i have tested the camera and its awesome!!!!!!! it was giving better pics than my sony digicam
