Nokia E72 which got leaked yesterday has now been announced by Nokia. The main improvements over the E71 include a sexier sleekier design with more rounded corners. A 5 Mega Pixel Camera with LED Flash is a huge upgrade ! The Optical Navikey which makes scrolling easier is certainly something we look forward too

Impressive battery life as talktime of Up to 12.5 hours is promised
There’s a 4 GB in-box MicroSD card and the phone supports up to 16GB MicroSD memory.

You can expect a significant price drop on the E71 in the coming months.
The phone is expected to be launched internationally in 3rd quarter of 2009 right in time for Diwali and just before Christmas

Hi I like the phone but was wondering what’s the RF signal of this product. used a e71 which refused to get doin the basic connectivity for network. please check all blogs befor purchasing this product as the e72 abroad also has the similar problem. hope nokia have looked into the matter and have had it resolved

Finally suppliers speak out to the queries……..some big bosses say that nokia e72 is to be launched on 18th of oct.news confirmed 97%.So guys try n get to ur piggies………i guess the wait is over.
18th Oct has passed but E72 release still remains a mystery. Not sure if Nokia really gains anything or ends up losing customer confidence by these actions

One of the Nokia priority dealers mentioned that there are some legal issues related to encryption used with the in-built VOIP client. The phone should launch once this glitch is resolved.

Its good that you moved to Iphone and Blackberry. Blackberry curve has released its official unlocked (earlier only with Airtel) version of 8520 for Rs 14,990/-
I am not comparing 8520 with E72 but for Blackberry lovers looking at a slightly economical option, 8520 is a perfect buy.
Personally, I will wait for E72 and hope that it launches soon in the Indian market.
Some stores claim E72 will be launched in November and some around New Year. My assumption is that it wont be any later than 2010 for sure. If I have waited for a month already, I dont mind waiting couple of days/weeks more
i just discovered dude that in corporate world Q3 means the span of OCT-DEC. So this news is still on the board valid. another date flashed in with the importers for 2nd weak of november.the price on the safety expected arnd 25K INR. i just heard that nokia had an issue with the voip certification from authorities. No need to worry about the software glitch bcoz this phone wont have one. this is an highly tested software under great precision. nokia has done its homework this time. trust me guys i tested this phone in singapore fest totally. even the form of body is like E71. but when u personally see it its more sexier and appealing. the trackpad is though very much sensitive and initially u ll find a bit hard to get used to it.but trust me guys once u have tht phone u wont get away from it. not to forget about the net connectivity…..its awesum.BB is way too behind thn wat E72 offers in the whole package.if u guys are waiting since long thn trust me its going to be a lovely wait of ur life.way to go……….
Chrominant, that’s silly and wrong. Companies have their own quarters refering to their financial year. Example for companies with financial June2009-July2010, their Q1 is June to August. It’s different with international standard calendar year. (which is Christian calendar)
And when Nokia announce their release of handset to press release, they won’t refer it to Company financial year.
Company may use company financial year during their own AGM or press release for their quaterly/annual profit.
Big companies would not go out and tell mislead whole world in timing.
By the way, Diwali has passed, isn’t it? Sorry for those who celebrated Diwali without e72
