Nokia 5530 XpressMusic has been announced . The phone is a cheaper version fo the Nokia 5800 and looks like the much rumored 5900 Its a Mass market music phone with no physical keys ! Wow ! There’s a 3.2 MP camera too and 4GB memory card in the box due to the Finnish’s handset maker’s generosity.

This phone is expected to be priced at Rs.13-14000 and you can expect it to be in shops by 3rd quarter of 2009. Looks like Nokia is lining up handsets for Diwali already !

I dont think 5530 still out in India because no one apart from the tech savvy and very few others know that such a phone exists … One moron shopkeeper says that this phone does not exist and is china made model and he had a very cheep copy of the same but insists that there is no original … Even the Nokia Priority Dealers have no idea … I’ve spent almost 2 months searching this phone in Mumbai but alas !! no success … I hope its launched soon and at a ~10k price or else I wont have to think even once before buying 5800

And yes its true, nokia priority dealer say it has not yet
been launched
But it is available for 12k
it is launch in delhi also or not
I ve also been waiting for 5530 launch in India for past 2 mths..Its available in Mumbai w/o warranty, w/o bill..Is it safe to buy it frm grey mkt or does it have probs in it..
Before buying Nokia 5530, check this link… it is recommended to wait till Nokia releases the latest firmware.

I wish Nokia will justify the delay in releasing this phone to Indian stores by fixing all the bugs in the phone.
No one wants a phone with so many bugs as discussed in the above discussion board.
I got a call from Univercell for Nokia 5530, they say it will be available next week for 17,000/- look at its site given below.
I asked the person are you joking she said the cost is actually less when compared to others(?).

I am from Pune and I have seen the phone in one of the shop. But, as per him, it is available ‘without bill’ (which i guess, would be ‘gray market’), as it is not officially launched.
i am waiting for 1. its official launch 2. till the software problems occuring due to old firmware will get resolved, hopefully.
Its now almost confirmed that Nokia will NOT release this phone in India in near future. Even Nokia dealers have no clue about this phone release date.
In Nokia.co.in for Diwali offers Nokia 5530 phone is not included but all the other phones are included.

All these days I was waiting for this phone, but no more waiting. It is time to say good bye to Nokia and look for another brand with similar features.

It is not worth for 15K when compared to 5800 which is now available for 13500.
This phone is not available any where. I called Nokia Concept store and the person said he has no official info about this release and doesn’t even know how much will it cost.
Hey Its not been released…. I found out from several sores in Banalore…. It should according to them be released within 2 months…
No… this phone is not released yet… i checked with some stores and they have no clue about this! so i think it might take 1 more month… may be Nov end… And expectedly the price should not exceed 10k as 5800 with lot more features costs 13.5k

5530 is not a 3G phone
Its a fact that nokia 5800 is now available for 13k which makes the purchase for N5530 a little weird. COnsidering everything N5800 has everything then why go for sumthing smaller and cheaper. Another issue which I need to see it to believe it is video recording for 5530 is being mentioned as VGA.
