Well there are some interesting facts about Nokia which I have archived locally and was planning to blog about it since quite long time. So, the time has come and I am going to let you people know some interesting and hilarious facts about the popular handset manufacturer – Nokia. Just go ahead and read this entire post..

  1. The original Nokia tune that is found as a default ringtone in all Nokia phones is based on a 19th century guitar work named “Gran Vals”
  2. Currently Nokia is among one of the largest digital camera manufacturers, as the sales of Nokia’s camera phone is greater that the number of digital cameras manufactured.
  3. Nokia is also called/referred as aikon (read nokia backwards) by non Nokia phone owners and other developers.
  4. Nokia never produced any models in Asia starting with the digit ‘4’ as the number 4 is considered unlucky in major parts of Asia.
  5. The various SMS tones in Nokia – Standard, Ascending & Special are the Morse code for the words ‘M’(M stands for Message), Message and Connecting People respectively.

Some facts about its products:

  1. Since manufacturing its first model in 1982, till date Nokia have come up with more than 400 models of mobile phones.. Strange, isn’t it?
  2. It sold about 126million pieces of the most popular black & white model Nokia 3310 and Nokia 3330.
  3. Nokia manufactures about 210 million handsets each year which, if calculated, comes to 6.5 phones each second. :)

    Wrong. Nokia manufactures around 400 million devices a year.

    Nokia is the best in mobile phones. You can rely on it. I have used 6 different phone models from nokia and i’ll still go for nokia if i have to go for another upgrade. Nokia should work more with their camera quality, it’s good but needs to be improved more in lower end phones.

    I have used over 20 different phones from nokia and found each of them to be equally good. As of now i m looking forward to the arrival of the new NOKIA 5630 Xpress Music phone which is a great phone in terms of features and price and is slim too besides sporting a Symbian S60 3rd edition User Interface with N-Gage support.

    I have a nokiae90,i applied for bsnl3g n got confirmation of activation but without setting cannot access 3g.can nokia help me to get online bsnl3g setting.

    Nokia should work on their Camera quality and Sound quality and they really can beat sony erricson then, for Nokia phones are more durable.
