8.9 Million New Mobile Users Added in April 2009 in India

So we have got the growth rates and additions figure of new mobile users in the month of April. This phase of time would be a landmark in the history of Indian telecom Industry as it is going to cross the 300 million mobile users mark.
According to reports India added 8.9 million new mobile users in the month of April totaling to 297.7 million users excluding those of Reliance infocom which is reported to be revealing its figures separately. Once Reliance reveals its growth figures, the total mobile users in India would come approximately to 300 million.
On a side note, out of these 300 million mobile users, Airtel have about 100 million users in its own network!
