Remember the sync feature recently introduced by Google? If not here it is. Though it had many great features, folks at Microsoft kicked off their own sync feature – Microsoft My Phone. So, if you are a Microsoft loyalist and don’t want to use Google services on your phone, then you can start using this cool service by Microsoft.

myphone

Backs up the following data

  • Contacts
  • SMS
  • Calendar
  • Tasks
  • Photos
  • Videos
  • Multimedia
  • Documents

Features of Microsoft My Phone:

  • Back up and restore from data from Microsoft’s password protected site
  • Access data online from any PC connected with internet

Advantages:

  • Fast and reliable
  • Ease of use
  • Syncs flawlessly either on your phone’s memory or storage card

Disadvantages:

After using  Microsoft My phone, the only disadvantage I could figure out is, it does not supports mobiles other than those running on Windows mobile platform. But Microsoft says, soon, they will be expanding this feature to other phones too. :)

For those who want to see how reliable and fast this service is, just have a look on the below video wherein I was able to sync 500+ contacts of my phone in less than 2 minutes!
