Synchronize your Phonebook with Google Sync

Have you even been really excited to get a new phone but then you realize that you have to sit and put all your contacts and information into the new phone? This has happened to countless number of people all over the world. It can be such a hassle to have to manually put all that information back into your phone. The people at Google have created something that will make it much easier to switch your phones and your information. Google has released a beta version of a program called Google Sync for iPhone and Windows Mobile phones.

Google Sync allows iPhone and Windows Mobile devices to get all of your Gmail contacts and even your Google calendar directly to your phone. It’s a simple process. You start by setting up Sync through you phone. After you have done this, the program will begin to synchronize all of your address book and calendar without you having to do anything more. Since this program using a type of technology that is known as push technology, any changes that you make to this information will automatically be changed. Sync is a program that will always be on so you don’t have to worry about turning it on to change or add information. This is a two-way system, which means you can log onto your Google account from any computer and make changes to your phone. This technology makes it an easy process to switch phones.

At the moment Google Sync is tailored to work with the following phones:

iPhone, BlackBerry, Nokia S60, Nokia standard, Sony Ericsson and Windows Mobile. Sync also works with Outlook and works bi-directionally. Early adaptors give Google Sync a thumbs up with regards to reliability and ease of use.
