Fonearena had covered the launch of the LG KF300 almost one year ago as it had hit global markets. Read the full coverage here.

The same handset has now been launched in the Indian market in the price band of Rs 8,500. The reason for the after-thought launch by LG is unknown.

While the specs of the handset, re-capsulated below remain the same, the only addition seems to be inclusion of the Mobile Tracker.

Specs and features at a glance:

• 2.2-inch QVGA display

• 1.3-inch TFT screen outside

• 128 x 160 pixels External screen

• 240 x 320 pixel 256K colours internal screen

• 2 megapixel camera with auto-focus

• Bluetooth

• microSD card support

• FM radio & media player

• EDGE / GPRS

Anil Arora, Business Group Marketing Head, Mobile Communication, LG Electronics Pvt Ltd said, “At LG, we understand that today’s mobile phones have transcended from their functional use and become a style statement. We work towards to meet the growing demand of the new world with our innovative and latest world class products at affordable prices. With the launch of these phones, we are offering perfect options for youth. These phones are packed with dynamic features to meet the needs of today’s generation. We are confident that our new offering will be well accepted and live up to the expectations of the consumers.”

There is also no word on the available colours of the handset. The launch last year had showcased Black and Pink. Will the same colours be available in India?
