We have been hearing a lot of questions from users after Nokia announced the Camera free variant of the immensely popular E51 . The phone without camera has exactly the same specs apart from the cam sensor which is replaced by a plastic cover …
We managed to get our hands on this phone and its a great phone for Professionals who can’t carry Cameraphones
E51 is a powerful smartphone running Symbian and its got plenty of connectivity options and a great battery life .. it also looks stylish and fits easily into the pocket ..

The box bears these words “Now without Camera for security sensitive professionals ”
the side of the box .. interestingly the model is named as E51-2 W Steel , steel being the color

sadly no memory card could be found in the package ..
The front side of the phone looks exactly same as the E51

This phone is actually cheaper than the normal E51 due to missing cam but the bad news is that it is not available in India currently
This was a phone made for US market ..
Why is Nokia not bringing this model to Indian market ??

i’m desperately searching for this phone
it has everything i want and it doesn’t have a camera
since i can use camera phones in my college,this the best phone i could possibly buy
but it isn’t available in India,nor is it available in the UAE
only places where i’ve even heard its available is in USA and Singapore
i hope Nokia release it soon in India or the UAE
As per above review, said camear free E51 was alredy launched at US. I want ot know wats price diff in between camera and camera free E51 model in US?
E51 Without camera is available in UAE and you can have it for about $ 300
I am working with ONGC in offshore installation where mobiles with camera are restricted for security reason, Iam looking for a handset with the kind of software can be loaded in Nokia-E51,you will find good number of buyersfor the same version without camera if launched in india.Mainly for two reason,
1) security restriction&
2) Reduced price.

it is very sad, that nokia says india is the emerging market, and they don’t launch a product in india.
For me for the last 4 years, i have worked in 3 companies, where i had myself and other looking for non camera good phones. for camera phones were not allow.
i even posted a comment on the nokia site, but to no ones hearing.
I would really like to know when is Nokia releasing its E51 Without camera model. I work in an MNC where camera phones are not allowed, hence in desperate need of a phone where I can get all good features without camera.Being a Nokia Brand loyal, I do not wanna switch to some other phone..
