Is Nokia N97 Coming for the New Year in India ? World wide availability of this device is stated as 2009 .. but when ?
The phone appears on the Univercell website and it is said to cost approximately Rs.38,462.
Well it is not too costly for a device of this stature. I would definitely be buying it for this price. What do you say people. Pour in your comments.

well all the best but as far people is talking about the cutting edge technology its too early to predict .
just some facts evry one should know it mostlly of the ppl loving the iphones…
1) Nokia N97 does 16:9 video. The iPhone doesn’t even do video. So, how can you go to a Himesh Reshamiya concert and record it to taunt your friends?
2) It has a 5 megapixel camera. The iPhone only has 2, and the quality isn’t even close. The camera also has a dual LED flash, so you can take pictures in the dark where the iPhone can’t.
3) I can type three Facebook status messages on the N97’s nice QWERTY keybord in the time that I can type two on the iPhone.
4) It does copy and paste, so you can copy URLs to send to your friends. The iPhone can’t do that.
5) It has replaceable batteries so you can charge up three batteries and Facebook for days, while the iPhone needs to be hooked back up to the wall for recharging after a few hours.
6) The GPS device does turn-by-turn and has a built in compass, so you’ll get to your parties faster than with the iPhone, which doesn’t have a compass and doesn’t do turn-by-turn.

first of all i like to correct you this device N97 launch in india with pricze tag of INR 39678-41000with 16 GB onboard memory .and a total of 24 GB
box contains a styls 1 battary screen gard , shell cover , DVD manual , selected cities map uploaded 5 or may be 8 Ngage Games 100 preloaded tracks and a cool touchable tip*
i like to express one more thing this mobile lauch almost mid of 2009 or early winter 2009 but dear frd india do not get 3G by the time and i think Gprs for this device ….Naa! so if some one just go to buy this one better think is you really need it or just to became jamesbond between fellows

anurag, this phone releases probabaly in july or after not before that, definitely,
the N 97 has not been displayed in the nokia india website as an upcoming model so its difficult to predict its launch date. As far as its faetures are concerned it is a phone worth waiting for…. so don’t go for any other phone or else you will end up feeling bad once its launched. patience is a virtue.
and yes it beats iphone hand down in looks, user friendly features, memory capacity, business compatibility and most certainly after sales service of nokia.
Almost all the high end mobiles like Apple iphone, Blackberry curve and so on come locked with one network provider or another. Should we expect the same for n97 as well. After going through the features I felt that n97 is truly feature rich. Can someone clear my doubt about its Wifi capability. Blackberry storm, I believe lacks this feature. If Wifi is not a built-in feature then n97 may not do as good as the predictions.

Its always advised to wait and proceed with Nokia. The prime reason being they are highly priced when released but very soon slash the rate within weeks after release.
2nd reason is to know how the OS performs, i doubt it will have android OS.

i came to know about nokia n97 recently and i could not resist myself checking out its features. then i tried to find out its price in india when it will be launched. as per the information available on internet, the phone will be priced around 35k. I think that is too much for this kind of phone. iphone was also launched around 32k and it was a flop. I don’t think nokia would like the same thing with n97. 32 gb inbuilt memory is good but not enough for pricing of 35k. also the phone has all those features which you can get easily in anyother nokia phones of around 20-25k range. except it has touch screen and a qwerty keypad. the provision of a qwerty keypad is nice and very sensible and it makes it far better than 5800 and iphone. but if it is priced at around 25k, then it would be a superhit. or else they should sell it power packed in 35 k like .. with loads of games (that too touch enabled games) and bluetooth headset, subscription for online music, games and other stuffs and preloaded maps . they sould also provide a decent pure leather case in the box if selling for 35 k. if all the above added features and accesories are there in the box packing then it will be a super hit again. but let’s see. let it be launched. then we can know whta the price is.

it’s nice phone i have thinking buy a n96 but when i see n97 than imidatly i brougt is verry nice phone.and all softwer is up todate. after all when u buy n97 u dont want buy leptop.its my thinking about n97.but i have some quetions about n97 the avi file is not supported and activ x and pdf requier updet verson so what to do about that. if any buddy know.
