Vodafone Confirms Iphone Prices for India

Iphone has finally released their pricing details via their exclusive indian carrier Vodafone. The 8GB model would cost around Rs.15960 and the 16GB model would cost around Rs.19960, both available only on exclusive 2 year contract with Vodafone. No exact details about the launch dates are available as of now.

iPhone in Usa is a locked one for $99 whereas in india, its a unlocked version what u get and u pay the entire amount.
well.. $49 iPod shuffle is just same what we get in india after the currency conversion.
Aple is one company which has maintained the prices almost every part of the world i the same price plus the currency conversion charges and customs charges which they need to pay..
I phone has lot of advantage even you can access several website which requires special application to run, like Skype.

16 GB (White & Black) for Rs 36100.
The handset is available from 22nd August 2008 onwards at Airtel Stores.

In India, iPhone availablein India is an unlocked version and u r free to choose from any of your operator. With respect to buying an iPhone from Usa for cheaper price and using in india is not advisable as any software /OS upgradation happens and ur phone would be locked again and may not function for what u have bought ur iPhone.
Apple keeps dispatching the Updates as and when they find any kind of security related issues or add-on softwares and one must go with that as they have already paid enough while buying the phone.
Lot of poteltial of iPhone still nees to come out of it.
