BBC news, the world’s premier news broadcasting agency has tied up with six mobile service providers in India. The guys at BBC are pretty excited about the same, given the number of people who carry a mobile phone in India. BBC World will be coming to six mobile service providers across India. The main aim of BBC is to provide video content on mobile phones, generate content for video on demand and podcasts. The Indian population is very active when it comes to usage of mobile phones, penetration of Internet access using mobile phones is less in India as compared to other countries but it is poised to grow at a rapid pace. May be this is the reason why BBC wants to play all it card at this point of time so they are ready for the best. Also, the Asian audiences of BBC world have increased by 25% and India plays a major part in it. With BBC World News enjoying major success on the television front now its wants to repeat the same on mobile Internet.
