I think that the researchers at the Stanford University have heard the far cry of the people of Kajrai, who walk for 20 kilometers to charge their mobile phones.

These guys at Stanford have managed to come up with a rechargeable long-lasting mobile handset battery using nano technology. The special thing about this battery is that it can store power ten times as compared to a normal mobile handset battery. This can enable to last the battery for literally 60 days or 2 months..that really some hell of a battery man!!! The batteries will be coming in the market by the end of next year but the patent has been already filed for the same. According to me a handset OEM who uses these batteries will certainly charge premium for it. Next time a person is using such long lasting batteries; he or she will not care even if he forgets the charger. This kind of technology will be good for people in India keeping in mind the disparities with respect to supply of electricity and the frequent electricity cuts/load shedding in some parts of the country.
