India added a whooping 8.3 million mobile users in November 2007

The no of mobile users in India is increasing again month after month. A TRAI report suggests that India added a whooping 8.3 million mobile users in November 2007 compared to the 8 million odd added in October.

Land line usage is declining due to the portability factor and Mobility is playing a vital part in India’s growth story.Total telephone user base is expected to hit 500 million by 2010 from the current 264.8 million No wonder India is one of the fastest growing telecom markets in the world.

Bharti Airtel and Reliance seem to have the lion’s share of the telephone market in India. Vodafone,State owned BSNL, MTNL,Idea all are way behind but still dominant players.
