We all are aware of the fact that Nokia is very serious when it comes to the designing of mobile phones. Nokia has design centers all over the world, where designers from different geographies come together, brainstorm and design phones that get a WOW from Nokia’s customer.

Nokia is well aware of the fact that any electronic gadget, no matter how superior it is w.r.t functionality, has to have a equally beautiful design, if it wants to grab attention of the end customer.

Australian IT News reporter Roland Tellzen had a tête-à-tête with Anton Fahlgren, Nokia’s Chief Designer. By taking the example of Nokia 6500, this in-depth interview throws light on the fact that, design is not all about the external look of the phone but it is about how Nokia designers work day in and day out arguing with technology & engineering teams to get the final product done.

So next time we appreciate an ergonomically designed Nokia handset, remember to respect the efforts behind making that gadget beautiful.

Sidenote : Nokia opened its design studio in India sometime back
