I would like to take you through the various plans available from Airtel for GPRS.
Airtel does not advertise supporting EDGE through their Mobile Office service but you
cansee a noticeable difference in the latency if your handset supports EDGE like my Nokia
6630. Airtel has a Data Card service which competes with Reliance CDMA Data Card and
Tata Indicom CDMA Data Card.
Here are the plans for Airtel Postpaid User

Rs.5 per extra MB
Plan 2
Rs.599 per month
1GB Free Usage
Rs.3 per extra MB
Plan 3
Rs. 799 per month
1.5 GB Free Usage

The tarrifs are taken from Airtel’s site
The above plans not only allow you to connect to the internet from your mobile phone but also allow you to use your Laptop or PC . Its can be be a life saver in a place where you dont have internet access otherwise and cannot find a cyber cafe.

airtel is the most worst network in my area
because in our area my house was near 0.5 km from airtel reach but the tower migration was not rechable … all of them told airtel gprs connect at 115.7 kbps but even in night the gprs speed was below 1kbps some times its nothings so all of them listen it dont use the airtel for gprs it is the worst network here all the bsnl,aircell,tata indicom,reliance are works most power full than airtel
I want a cheaper internet plan for my PC for personal use.

airtel is worst. though they are giving mobile office (gprs), at Rs.15 per day on a prepaid connection for unlimited download, the connectivity is poooor. it always disconnect and the so called technical assistance is absurd. so they are just making fools.
know about reliance smart gprs service?
I am using airtel prepaid GPRs 4 the past 5 months with free unlimited download. now airtel is charging me 4 my downloads without any notice .coud sm1 help wit the tarrif

Airtel GPRS has been disgusting since the last 2 -3 months. Takes 10-15 seconds to open Google & does not open gmail. Range is terrible, Customer Care help, cannot rectify this problem.
Airtel’s getting worse. I just hope its not forcing people to switch to its new & very expensive comming soon 3G.
Advise you to rather go for the Rs 250/- BSNL Broadband connection.

Iam using airtel GPRS service from last 3 days i haven’t faced any problem.. evry thing works fine.
It alos gives good speed.
But they haven’t charged me any thing.

There is some Network problem in airtel. my house is very close to an AIRTEL tower just 200 meter and Network line are weak avg.3 line about (52%) coverage.
Airtel gprs speed is good it connect at 921.6 kbps
I am useing Reliance gprs also but it speed is very poor.it takes more time to open any website and even in night the gprs speed was below 1kbps

First of all if u want a good speed from airtel(mobile office) use a EDGE based phone .I don’t have any problem i am geting 10-15KB/s downloading speed and airtel charges 249/month unlimited downloading

it is poorest (ISP)internet service provider in the whole world
when i connet internet to my pc then it shows 460kbs speed dut the actual speed is below 2.5 kbps
Im using airtel gprs from the last 6 monts and its excellent, i havent faced any problem till now.And its speed is about 950 kbps.And the interesting thing is that they hav’nt charged me a 1 Rs till now for using this service.For downloading if u use Dap then u will get minimum 30-35 kbps speed at night.But ,for this u should have a edge enabled handset.
Now airtel gprs is worst service because it costs now 30p/50kb so we are not enjoying free of mind. Now we are spending rs 15 in every five minut.. Monthly expenditure will be about rs 4320

Airtel mobile office in manipur is also very slow but good in handset.When connect to pc the amount is 90 rupees per hour my god what is this means.But good we have the facility.Vadafone,reliance,bsnl price low but that all have network problem.

Airtel is the worest service provider in India now. I have been using Airtel from last 5 years nw bt I have already made my mind to change it. Earlier they had a plan of Rs. 150 where unlimited d/w was free, later they increased to 350 bucks & now they are charging 400 bucks for 100 MB, can u believe it!!!! They nw dont have unlimited plans. What a way to cheat its customers. Instead of charges cming down they have increased it …..
I hate Airtel …… Nw there is no more Air left in their Tel !!!!
Airtel simply sucks . I called customer care and they saod that they dont have any monthly plans now!!! She said that they have only 3 plans
Plan 1 -RS 20/day …8 Mb free …after this they will charge ..20 paise / 50 KB
Plan 2 -RS 10 / day …3 Mb free ..after this they will cahrge…20 paise / 50 KB
OR !!!! plan 2 even worse …30 paise/ 50 KB ..

Guys , if u r thinkin to use gprs on airtel Never do it, iv been using airtel 8mb plan for rupees 20/day, and if u use they deduct 20p/30kb… I thought thats Ok but thats not the point..
As i said iv been using this plan since 2 days, but as i try to use more than 4mb….. They start deducting my money..!!

airtel is best mobile internet provider.i am suggest everyone use nokia 7610 supernova to connect 921.6 kbps speed and 7610 supernova give you a chance to connect bluetooth personal area network but are not working on airtel he not support to bluetooth pan connectivity.but i am happy to airtel 10 per day mobile office plan.and my downloading speed is up to 22 to 25 kbps.i am see speed in idm5.17.anyone not have mobile office settings please send this message type MO to 52567 and send this message you received configuration message save settings and enjoy unlimited internet.anyone help for connecting to internet please call me this number-:9981483186.

please i am requasting everyone who read my this comment please do not hack airtel services.because airtel starts mobile office plans he supplies great speed and 3 days free plan.but airtel services hacking so high and airtel stop this services and speed is great to good.i am requasting please do not hack.welcome to indian user calls.
i am using a bsnl broadband Rs. 250 connection. its very good. i can access to the internet very fast. i suggest all to take bsnl broadband connection. u wont b dissappointed.

Even I am using Airtel GPRS plan for 199/month unlimited download. The conectivity differs from Area to Area. When I use connecting at my home it gives better speed. (ex: I can dwnld 1 song of 5mb @ 2mins Maxm), but at my office the speed is pathetic and it takes 5-6 mins to download the same capacity). At night the connection or downloading speed is faster in comparison to the day.
HOwever I am happy with the plan and speed as they give me Flat rate plan, either I use in Home network or Roaming network.
I got GPRS settings and stored in my Nokia N72. But while trying to connect net through Mobile browser it says pocket connection is not available. How can i connect?.Thanks.

Airtel is very pain full service provider. 1 mnth ago i try to acces internet 4rm my mob. it not connect that time due to weak network signal. After 4 hrs. i found that a charged Rs.60/- Dont know why? Cust.care. executive said “sir u have download BLAA-BLAA,thats y” When i called 121. Any way.
I have latest 3G mob. Samsung L-700. 1mth ago i access GOOGLE MAP. ITz worked. But now a day It not working. plz help me.
