Apple iPhone 4 and Samsung Wave Share Same CPU Core

on June 8, 2010 – 9:05 pmOne Comment

While announcing the Apple iPhone 4 yesterday, Steve Jobs claimed that the new Apple A4 chip being used in the iPhone 4 was designed by Apple themselves. But it seems that the chip which is used in the iPhone 4 and the iPad is also being used in other phones.

Samsung and a company called Intrinsity worked together to make the Cortex A8 chip. Reports now say that the Wave shares the same 1GHz CPU Core as the Apple iPhone 4 and iPad A4 chip.

The iPhone and iPad may have an advantage over the Samsung Wave since they run on iOS 4 rather than Bada but they both are being powered by the same brain.
