Google has updated Camera app with new features and improvements. The update bumps the app to version 3.2.

The Google Camera app now adds the ability for users to take a photo while recording a video. After updating the app from Play Store, users will see a white shutter button on the upper top right corner. By tapping this button you can take a photo while recording a video.  After finishing the recording, both the video and photo will be saved to your photo gallery.

In addition, now there is a separate menu for Slow motion instead of a button in regular video mode. Next up, Google has revamped the look of the shutter button and there is also a new icon for switching between front and rear-facing cameras. Other features other features like Photo Sphere, Panorama, and Lens Blur are still present in the hamburger menu.

Google’s camera app was built initially for Nexus devices, but the company made it available in the Play Store back in 2014.
