Apple iPhone 4 – Look into the Features


Well, yes the Apple iphone 4 has been announced as you can read here. Now if you are wondering what the features are, here is the detailed feature list. Reading the list will give you an idea of why they decided to go for Apple iPhone 4 as the name.

  • The Apple iPhone 4 uses a 3.5 ” Retina Display with 4 Time More Pixels Per Inch Compared to Regular Displays (326 Pixels Per Inch) which is very good since the naked eye can view only up-to 300 pixels per inch. The resolution is 960*640 pixels with 800:1 contrast ratio which is 4 times better than the Apple iPhone 3GS. It uses IPS technology which according to Steve Jobs is a better technology compared to OLED as it is offering a wider viewing angle and more colours.
  • The iPhone 4 is powered by the Apple A4 processor chip. The chip had to made as small as possible to accommodate the bigger battery. The A4 also makes very efficient use of power.
  • Due to the larger battery, the Apple iPhone 4 has better battery life compared to it’s predecessors. Upto 7 hours of 3G talk, 6 hours of 3G browsing, 10 hours of WiFi browsing, 10 hours of video, 40 hours of music etc.
  • 9.3mm Thickness, 24% Thinner than the Apple iPhone 3GS
  • The iPhone 4 uses a 5 Megapixel camera with LED flash and a back-illuminated sensor. There is also the 5x Digital Zoom, tap to focus.
  • The Video recording maxes out at HD (720p) resolution at 30 fps (frames per second). Tap to focus video and built-in video editing are the bonus features.
  • 3.5mm Audio Jack, Dual Mics
  • Mute, Volume Up/Down, Sleep/Wake and Home Buttons
  • Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, GSM, UMTS
  • The Compass, Accelerometer and 3 Axis Gyro have been implemented together to get a six axis controller which is great for gaming.
  • Proximity Sensor and Ambient Light Sensor
