Reddit has finally launched its official app for Android and iPhone. Sadly it is not available for iPad yet and the apps are available for download only in the US, Canada, UK, and Australia. These apps feature inline images, night theme, compact and card views, and simpler navigation.
Reddit also offering three months of free Reddit gold if you login during launch week and has already released an update for Android to fixed major issues, including a crash on launch for some Kit Kat users.

Regarding the future plans for these apps, Alex Le, VP of Consumer Product in the announcement post, said:
This is the beginning of our journey with you, our app users. For everyone joining us on this ride, you can expect a lot of updates and new features that we’ll be rolling out to mobile first. Our first feature releases are getting prepared now and we’ll be updating at least once a month. Of course, if you already have an app you like, you’re free to continue enjoying it. We will continue to support our free public API.
