BSNL 3G Data Card And Reliance NetConnect Broadband+ Price Drop

on April 4, 2010 – 10:04 pm66 Comments

BSNL and Reliance has finally reduced the price of their USB modem in order to attract a large number of internet users in India. Both the data card offers postpaid plans as well as prepaid vouchers and they come with some attractive offers. BSNL offers unlimited data plans while Reliance does not offer any unlimited data plans.

The price of the BSNL data card has been reduced from Rs.3500 to Rs.2500. It comes with free data usage of 6GB per month, for the first two months. Out of 6GB, only 1GB can be used in day while the remaining 5GB should be used at night. BSNL tariff plans starts from Rs.249 to Rs.2499.

BSNL 3G data card offers speed up to 3.6 Mbps and 7.2 Mbps for some devices. BSNL 3G services are available in more than 370 cities across India. BSNL also provides unlimited usage at Rs.2499 per month. Check out all the data plans here.

The price of Reliance data card has been reduced from Rs.3500 to Rs.2299. It comes with free data usage of 10GB during the first month, for all the prepaid subscribers while the postpaid users can get Rs.200 discount per month, for the first 12 months.

Reliance NetConnect Broadband+ comes with attractive tariff plans starting from Rs.299 to Rs.1750. Sadly, Reliance does not offer any unlimited plans. Reliance data card offers speed up to 3.1 Mbps. Check out all the postpaid and prepaid plans here.

    BSNL 3G data card is THE WORST

    I am from Nagpur. I bought this BSNL 3G data card a month ago with unlimited plan. When I saw demo I got impressed with the speed, closed other 2 connections and purchased this. I don’t remember a day when it didn’t disconnected within 10 to 15 mins and every now and then since 4-5 days. Its not that I live in interior parts where there may be chance of week signals. I tested on various machines also but the same.
    I am a freelance web developer and can’t do without internet. BSNL 3G has ruined my business. I am losing money and clients like anything. There is no one to hear with this people. No one picks up the call at customer support number and no one takes any action you give any written complaints.

    Guys stay away from this BSNL 3G data card otherwise you will just be helpless and pulling your hairs and go bald soon. This people are fooling us by selling useless products. I am posting this message on as many blogs as I can so as I can prevent some people form getting cheated by these people.

  • venkat

  • Saurabh

    Yes, that’s true. They are pathetic in this service.

    I paid 2500 for the device and it’s useless for me now. Does any one having idea of replacing the BSNL Sim with Reliance or Tata Indicom?

  • eleanor

    i wan to buy a net connect with unlimited plan..i have no problem in working in night. which is the most feasible data card and tariff plan for me. i will mostly watch movies or work on college projects.

  • Raghu

    Which is the best option BSNL3G or Reliance 3G?

  • Deba

    BSNL is best Its got Unlimited data usage upto 3.6-5.2 mb/s speed depending on location only 700/month(4200/6months).

    But Reliance No Plan is Unlimited, You have to use economically.

  • Deba

    If u’re using 2g data plan 274/month then speed will of course less.

    Upgrade to 3g now only at 700/month(4200/6months) and get upto 3.5-6.2mb/s speed depending on your location

  • jitumoni

    Is there any BSNL 3G data plan of 300/400 mb per month, prepaid or postpaid??

  • senthilraja

    i’m using both bsnl 3g and reliance netconnect broadband +

    better you buy a separate data card from micromax 310g data card

    1.bsnl advantage

    * true unlimited
    * low tariff
    * speed between 1 mpbs to 2.5 mpbs
    * more than 400 cites coverd in india

    2.bsnl disadvantage

    * poor singal
    * very low speed in 2g
    * disconnect often without reason

    3.relaince advantage

    * perfect signal
    * working fine in 1x also
    * speed between 1mpbs to 2mpbs

    $.relaince disadvantage

    * no unlimited plan
    * high tariff

  • Manu

    Reliance Netconnect Plus just sucks.. I never got more than 400 Kbps, where as in newly launched Airtel 3g (USB teethering through 3G phone), I am getting upto 3000Kbps.

    I called up reliance customer care and told about this difference, they are just clueless….

    Any idea why reliance netconnect plus is so slow compared to BSNL and Aritel 3G networks….

  • johnpaul

    yes its true…i hav also used both these services….reliance is really expensive but reliable…the biggest issue with bsnl is the disconnecting problem…..its really annoying..but unlimited internet for 1499! hell yes, bsnl rocks

  • madhur

    this all is so costly im using idea net connect you get good spped and unlimited download just at 399 and even 1199 for 4 moths unlimited so just go for idea im really satisfied with the speed of idea

  • Manivannan

    it depends on the area and signal level at that area.
