Today, Airtel launched the most awaited Apple iPhone 3GS in India. Most of us were having questions in mind on why Vodafone hasn’t announced the launch of Apple iPhone 3GS yet since Airtel and Vodafone together launched the iPhone 3G in August 2008. To our surprise, Vodafone also announced the launch of iPhone 3GS on their network.

  • Umesh Mane

    Why higher prices in maharashtra?
Dont tell me its because of d growth rate. They are so not going make a real profit.GO AIRTEL GO!!!

  • Ishams

Clearly airtel is better, they offer 500MB free every month 4 one year.4 a vodafone customer have to pay 799 for 249 minutes and 250MB.

  • Sam

Why Airtel and Vodafone is not giving the option of making the payment for the iPhone 3Gs thru credit card and in 10 instalments like they did for the iPhone 3G??
There will be many customers willing to buy the new iPhone 3Gs in instalments spread over a year thru credit card.
    Wake up Airtel and Vodafone.

vodafone is not encouraging to use iphone as they think its not compatable with their net work as they are faceing lot of issues with previus ones.

  • Ramesh

Now vodafone also offering same scheme 500mb free for month for one year. See the vodafone site

Vodafone has no compatibility problems on iphone 3GS handsets. I have been using the 32GB 3GS model imported from US since past 4 months and opted for their 100MB idata plan which costs Rs.200/ month. Works very well including the GPS, googlemaps etc. Not to mention, mine is jailbroken too! Yeah pricing seems high as I bought mine for Rs.33K which is far less compared to even the 16Gb model launched in india which is priced at 35K. I suggest, buy one from ebay, even if u pay duty on smartphones@4% (present custom duty), still it’s far cheaper. Iphone rocks!!
