Samsung announced the Galaxy S6 at MWC 2015 in March this year. The company launched its flagship phone in India in the same month starting Rs 49,900. We have already seen the unboxing of the phone and now lets compare the Galaxy S6 with its other counterpart Galaxy S6 Edge that was also unveiled at the MWC 2015.

Both the devices sport a 5.1-inch Quad HD (2560×1440 pixels) 577 PPI Super AMOLED display but the S6 Edge has a curved edge display. These are powered by a Octa-Core ( Quad 2.1GHz + Quad 1.5GHz) Exynos processor. Running Android 5.0 (Lollipop), these have 3GB RAM and come with 32GB, 64GB and 128 GB options.

Both the devices have a 5MP front facing shooter along with usual set of proximity sensors, earpiece and Samsung branding.

The trademark home button and the capacitive buttons on the each sides are present on both the devices.

The Galaxy S6 has the power button on the right side along with a nano SIM card slot while the Galaxy S6 Edge has only the power button on the right.

The volume keys are situated on the left side of both the phones.

The 3.5mm audio jack, micro USB port, microphone and loudspeaker grill are present on the bottom of both the devices

The Galaxy S6 has IR LED for TV capabilities and a microphone on the top while the Galaxy S6 Edge has IR LED and a microphone along with the nano SIM card at the top. The former measures 143.4 x 70.5 x 6.8mm and weighs about 138 grams, while the latter measures 142.1 x 70.1 x 7.0mm and weighs just 132 grams.

Both the phones have a 16MP rear camera with LED Flash, OIS and a heart rate monitor.

The Samsung branding is present at the center of the non-removable back cover of both the phones. Also, there is no space for the microSD card slot.

The Galaxy S6 has a 2,550mAh battery, while the Galaxy S6 Edge has a 2,600mAh battery. The Galaxy S6 costs 49,900 for the 32GB variant, Rs. 55,900 for the 64GB variant and the 128GB variant costs Rs. 60,900. It is available in white pearl, black sapphire, gold platinum and blue topaz. On the other hand the Galaxy S6 Edge comes in White Pearl, Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum and Green Emerald colors and is priced at Rs. 58,900 for the 32GB variant, Rs.64,900 for the 64GB variant and the 128GB variant costs Rs. 70,900.
