Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge color comparison

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge smartphones at the MWC 2015 earlier this week. Both these smartphones come in several new colors that were not seen before in Samsung’s flagship smartphones. Both these come in White Pearl, Black Sapphire and Gold Platinum colors. The Galaxy S6 Edge comes with a 5.1-inch Quad HD (2560×1440 pixels) Super AMOLED display that is curved on both the edges. It is powered by a Octa-Core ( Quad 2.1GHz + Quad 1.5GHz) Exynos processor and runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop), similar to the Galaxy S6. There is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. There are the usual set of proximity and ambient light sensors next to earpiece.

It has volume rockers on the left side, similar to the Galaxy Note Edge.

The power button is present on the right side, unlike the Note Edge that had the power button on the top. It is just 7mm thick, slightly thicker compared to the Galaxy S6 that is 6.8mm thick.

There is a SIM card slot on the top along with IR LED and a secondary microphone.

The loudspeaker grill, primary microphone, micro USB slot and the 3.5mm audio jack are present on the bottom.

On the back there is a 16-megapixel camera with LED flash and a infrared heart-rate monitor that also helps the camera obtain accurate white balance, similar to the Galaxy S6.

It has a non-removable back cover with 2,600mAh built-in battery. It comes with 3GB LPDDR4 RAM and in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB memory variants, but lacks a microSD slot.

It has 4G LTE Cat.6 support and the usual set of connectivity features. These colors are eye-catching. Which one are you planning to get when it launches in India next month?
