The 2010 season of IPL or Indian Premier League is about to kick off this month and IPL Chairman Lalit Modi just tweeted about a new iPhone App. If you are Cricket fan and have an iPod touch or iPhone  , the app will certainly impress you

–searchable by venue, team and date
• Push Notifications to alert users of events before and during matches – these are customizable by the users
• IPL team list with team members and their information
• Individual Team Performance
• Individual Team Member performance

Upcoming features that will be enabled during each match (some of them would be in-app purchases):

• Live text commentary
• Live audio commentary
• Real time ball-by-ball videos

      Looks like this app is aimed mainly at NRIs using iPhones outside India . No Android or Symbian love for Indians

    Just 400kb and for it 5 bucks, there’s not even live video streaming.
    This is total rip off, better use safari browser and go cricinfo. Its ok that Lalit M wants to gain money by any means, but i didn’t expect this web based app to charged heavily.
