HP unveils range of Android and Windows tablets along with enterprise mobility solutions


HP has introduced a range of tablets that run on Android and Windows OS. The company has a launched 12.3-inch Pro Slate 12 and the 7.9-inch Pro Slate 8 along with HP Pro Slate 10 EE running on Android and HP Pro Tablet 10 EE running on Windows model.

First up, is the HP Pro Slate 12 and HP Pro Slate 8 Android 4.4 tablets that sport 12.3-inch and 7.9-inch screens with Gorilla Glass 4. Both the devices are powered by 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processors, 2GB of RAM while the former has 32GB storage and latter has 16GB storage. The Slate 12 has a resolution of just 1600 x 1200 while the Slate 8 has a resolution of 2048×1536. HP Pro Slate 8 uses Corning Gorilla Glass 4 while the HP Pro Slate 12 comes with Corning Concore Glass. HP has also announced the Duet Pen, which is a smart digital pen powered by Qualcomm technology that allows you to write on any surface and have that writing automatically appear on your tablet. The Pro Slate 12 is priced at $569 while the Pro Slate 8 costs $449.

Following a report last week, HP even launched HP Pro Slate 10 EE that runs Android and the HP Pro Tablet 10 EE that runs on Windows. Both the tablets runs on a 1.33 GHz Atom processor, 2GB of RAM, and has a 10.1-inch, 1280 x 800 display. They will support up to 32GB of storage, 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth, and NFC. The Pro Slate 10 EE has a slot for a stylus and an optional keyboard base. The tablet is available at starting price $279.

Finally HP has also unveiled new commercial mobility solutions that it claims to transform the workplace and unlock the power of productivity. It is expected to help companies streamline and simplify their business operations while providing the IT department confidence the task can be managed securely.
