Acer Liquid E Hands On

on February 24, 2010 – 3:58 am2 Comments

We brought you the specs of the Acer Liquid E before MWC. And now we have had our hands on latest Android phone from Acer – Liquid E . It’s the successor to the Acer Liquid which was launched in India recently. This handset runs on Android 2.1  OS as you can see from the animated wallpapers below and the phone is powered by a 768  Mhz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU

The handset sports a 3.5 inch capacitive touchscreen display , looks very similar to the original Liquid. It packs a 5 Megapixel Camera on the rear and a 3.5 mm audio jack on the top. Although it has a Acer UI , it’s pretty much raw Android and nothing close to customization on other Android devices in the market. It’s got Wi-fi , 3G , Bluetooth , A-GPS and 256 MB of RAM.

The device packs a 1350 mAh battery and promises about 5 hours of talk time

We don’t have enough information about the exact price of this phone. But you can expect a review soon

this is exactly same machine as Acer Liquid expect it got android 2.1 instead 1.6 (you can upgrade your 1.6 to 2.1 sometime june i think)

One thing i would like to know how is battery life compared between these two versions? In 1.6 it’s pretty bad…
