Dropbox and Microsoft integration goes live for Android and iPhone

Dropbox’s Microsoft integration has gone live on Android and iPhone devices. The software giant announced a partnership earlier this month that will allow document editing capabilities from directly inside Dropbox.

The integration essentially allows users to tap into Dropbox storage directly from within the Office mobile apps, but it will also include the ability to send links to files from Office using Dropbox, open documents from Dropbox in Office, and more.  Currently, the functionality supports Office docs, spreadsheets and presentations.

As soon as you will open the Office docs, spreadsheets and presentations app on your Android and iPhone devices you will see the Edit icon and tapping on it will enable you to edit and work on your documents. The changes will automatically saved to Dropbox. Dropbox for Business customers will also be able to take advantage of these new features as long as they also have an Office 365 subscription.
