Till now each and everytime you open a iTunes link on a machine with the software installed, it used to invoke the application and the information used to be displayed within the client.

Today I was taken to itunes.apple.com and saw a webpage showing a summary of the ap. The webpage finally managed to the trigger to the iTunes Application too.

This feature dubbed iTunes preview was spotted showing a preview of music albums on the iTunes store but didn’t include apps. Now you can find details about the app without using the iTunes software.

Even Screenshots and ratings are displayed.

Any iTunes app link in the format itunes.apple.com/us/app/app-name invokes the iTunes preview in the browser.

Looks like Apple is going to launch a full fledged web version of iTunes sometime soon.
