Logitech has announced an iPhone app called TouchMouse which lets you turn your iPhone / iPod into Wireless Trackpad and Keyboard. This is one of the most useful apps which we have come across on the iPhone platform.

The app use WiFi and connect to you PC / Mac . To grant access  to the iphone app , you need to a server software on your machine.

Here are the features

  • Multi-touch trackpad with the option for two or three mouse buttons
  • Two-finger scrolling
  • Keyboard with Control, Alt, Command/Windows keys
  • On-screen text display while typing
  • Show or hide the keyboard at any time
  • Trackpad and keyboard are available in landscape and portrait modes

We tested it on the iPhone and iPod and found it amazing. The app can actually replace your mouse. The sensitivity is great and the two-finger scroll is just too good.

The App is free . It’s a must have if you want to use your iPhone screen for controlling your PC/ Mac . And make sure you disable the server application when you are not using it as there is no security feature in the app.

Also due to the slippery nature of shiny Apple products make sure you place the device on a supporting surface ! Great work by folks at Logitech . We thought they could only make great mice and keyboards. But they made a nice app too !

Download TouchMouse [iTunes Link]

Grab the software for your [PC/ Mac]

What do you think of the app ? have you tried it ?
