Google Play Store now shows in-app purchase price range

Google had announced couple of weeks back that it will tweak few things in the Play Store. Today, the company has started listing price ranges for in-app purchases.

Any app that is listed as offering in-app purchase will now show you the price range. It will be listed in the bottom after you click the “read more” button. The move comes from Google in order to bring more transparency to its Play Store. In addition to the  price range, developer addresses are also visible.

The new feature should help users make better decisions when it comes to apps that are listed as free. However, it must be noted that the in-app purchase gives you only the price range and not the exact price of the app.  It looks like Google is taking a leaf from the Apple’s iTunes store that offers the exact price of the app.
