Motorola Shadow to be the Google Nexus Two!

on January 17, 2010 – 12:22 pm3 Comments

Well, it hasn’t been long since Google announced the Nexus One and it hit the stores. Now here are two photos which show a new device called the Motorola Shadow. It basically looks like a Motorola DROID/MILESTONE in white colour and slightly different design including a wrist-strap.

If rumours have to be believed, this phone is Google’s second smartphone, likely to be called the Nexus Two. It could all be true since the Google Nexus One didn’t have a hardware QWERTY keyboard and introducing a device with one seems like the right idea.

The handset is quite a looker with its black and white colour combination topped with red accents.

The current rumoured features include:

  • 4.3″ Touchscreen with 850*480 resolution
  • HDMI Port, QWERTY Keyboard
  • 8MP Camera with HD Video Recording (1080p)

We will update you with more information as it arises.

As Motorola’s Sanjay Jha was present at the Google Nexus One launch we can surely expect something from the Moto-Google Combo. But the Droid has definitely taken the backseat after the arrival of the Nexus One.

Actually the Droid has’nt taken the backseat….its still selling in big numbers, whereas surprisingly the Nexus 1 sold only 20,000-25,000 units since launch….the N1 is a grt phone though

The Nexus one in my view equals or surpasses the iPhone in many features and should be doing extremely well in sales if not of what i percieve as road blocks placed by google and the lack of aggressive advertisements. Some of those road blocks are being addressed…like the new price( $279) to existing Tmo customers. I also think they should drop the restriction of just one price plan( 500 min plan) to ppl signing up. To this day..i haven’t seen a single Nexus one commercial on tv. I know there are ads on the computer but should be aware not every one has a computer. Such a GR8 phone but lack of a GOOD SALES JOB…not too late to start. Do ads like those done by HTC with a catchy tune but instead of different phones google should highlight different features…flood the air waves with them. Also drop the price for those sold unlocked during this advertisement blitz.

Nexus one sales are pretty less as it sells only via the Google Store online. There is no way one can buy it elsewhere.
I don’t think Google would invest in marketing a product on TV .
