BlackBerry launched BBM Beta for Windows Phone few weeks back for all the Windows Phone 8 users. Recently BlackBerry pushed a minor v1.01 update for the Windows Phone app that removes the beta tag and also brings bug fixes, performance improvements and speeds up the app load time. It recently said that it has 85 million monthly active users worldwide.

According to the changelog, the v1.0.1.26 fixes issues where BBM displays in English when the device language was set to Spanish. Another minor bug fix update v1.0.1.27 fixes an issue related to accepting SMS invites. The latest v1.0.1.28 update pushed during the weekend doesn’t have a changelog yet.

BBM for Windows Phone has several features such as BBM Chats, Groups, Find Friends, Pin to Start and more. BlackBerry already said that it has started working on version 2 that would add Stickers, BBM Voice, Channels and Location sharing features. Download for BBM Beta for Windows Phone from the Windows Phone Store, if you don’t have it yet.
