Its really nice to see Nokia bring a major firmware update for a phone which was launched in 2008 .  Looks like the update is available only via NSU for now.

    I have changed the product code to get firmware v40 for my 5800. It was successful.

    I used NSS V1.0.38.15 to change the product code.
    Earlier my product code was 0575590. Now I have changed to Euro Red.

    No issues found, more over Now I am a satisfied customer though I am using 5800 for the past whole 1 yr. Really a good stable and useful firmware update.

    Go for it. Its really worth.

    Does this firmware have TV OUT?? As i have seen in newer 5800 that TV-OUT option is no more available. My phone currently has v31 and it does have TV OUT option.

    install a diff OS. Or take it to Nokia Care if you’re still in warranty. :) )

    did u try to change the product code of your nokia 5800?? I think if you change the product code and it failed, your nokia device’s warranty is void..

    @ben10
    I’m also from the philippines and I’m 2 months in the waiting line for the v40 update here.. OMG,, when will the update be available here..

    Do you think if I take it to nokia care center, will they update my nokia 5800 to v40 themselves???
