Launching in August for $199 in the US, a user needs to wear the band only while doing all these activities and throughout the day like other Fitbit, Nike Fuelband, or Jawbone. The smartband will release in rest of the world from August 15 through Adidas’ website, and from September 1 through Adidas Sports Performance stores.

Along with the usual metrics; heart rate, calories burned and distance covered, there are also downloadable coached cardio workouts that can be stored on the Fit Smart. The band weighs 58 grams, has a silicon strap, and uses a 17×11 LED light array as its UI. The wristband’s LED array will reflect the user’s intensity level though blue, green, yellow, or red lighting, providing instant feedback on how hard you’re working, all based on your custom heart rate threshold.

The band will launch with a dedicated miCoach Train and Run companion app which connects via Bluetooth LE on Android and iOS. It not only show your stats, but to also provide training plans and show your progress against weekly goals.
