Truecaller ties up with Tata Docomo to offer free data and premium features

Truecaller, popular for its caller ID application has partnered with Tata Docomo to offer free data for Truecaller usage and Premium Truecaller features to its customers. This will help propel the usage of Truecaller in India and enable users to stay protected from spam calls, believes Truecaller.

The free data plan would enable users access Truecaller without additional plans and also offers access the premium features of Truecaller free of cost, for a period of 90 days. These premium features include,

  • Ad Free: Users will experience an advertisement free Truecaller experience
  • Profile Views: Users will be able to see who’s viewed their profile. They can even see how many minutes ago someone saw it
  • Monthly Contact Requests: Users will get 30 contact requests at the start of every month. With these requests users can contact other Truecaller users by looking for their name in the directory.

Truecaller has more than 30 million users in India, more than 50% of its global user base of 55 million, says the company. Tie-up with service providers is mainly to expand its progressing user base in India, it added. The company plans to introduce more such offerings in coming months.
