Pandora launches app for Pebble Smartwatch

Pandora Pebble App

There’ve been more than a few smartwatches that have hit the market over the past year or two but none have captured the imagination like the Pebble. The kickstarter success story is now amongst the highest selling smartwatches and it’s growing application ecosystem is testimony to that. Popular music streaming service, Pandora, has now launched their official application for the Pebble smartwatch. Available for download via the Pebble app store built into the application itself, it will allow users to control all basic functionality that you’d expect. Mike Grishaver, VP of Pandora’s Pandora app says that this is the first time that the music streaming service is officially available on a wearable. Users will be able to view, change stations as well as thumb up or down songs and skip, play, pause tracks. Unfortunately, the application is so far restricted to iOS devices but Pandora is working on an application for Android based Pebble users as well. The prospect of controlling our favorite music streaming site straight from the wrist is very endearing and we can’t wait to test it out for ourselves.
