Nikon has announced COOLPIX S810c, the company’s latest compact camera running Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). The COOLPIX S810c has a 16MP BSI CMOS sensor, built-in Xenon flash, 12x optical zoom, f/3.3 – f/6.3 aperture, 3.7 inch 1229k-dot widescreen, TFT LCD display and is powered by a Cortex-A9 processor. It introduced COOLPIX S800c running Android 2.3 and a 3.5-inch OLED display back in 2012.

It has about 1.1 GB of internal storage and also supports microSDHC or microSDXC memory cards. It has Google Play to download social networking apps and share photos. Connectivity features include, Micro-USB, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, GPS and micro HDMI support. It also has 2200 mAh battery.

  • 16.0-million pixels, backside illumination CMOS sensor and vibration reduction (VR) function that combines lens shift VR with electronic VR
  • 12x optical zoom NIKKOR lens
  • 4.5-54.0 mm (angle of view equivalent to that of 25–300 mm lens in 35mm format)
  • Dynamic Fine Zoom enables approximately 24x zoom for a maximum focal length equivalent to approximately 600mm
  • Comment function allows users to attach comments to images using the keyboard
  • Timeline View allows users to edit images and comments in in-camera albums
  • Pre-installed NIKON IMAGE SPACE allows users direct access to Nikon’s image storage and sharing service (20 GB of storage space)

The Nikon COOLPIX S810c is priced at US$350 and would launch early May.
